The BAC is made up of a Chairman, a Secretary, and three representatives from each of the four constituent clubs. The BAC delegates for each club are voted in by the relevant club to represent the membership at BAC meetings, and the delegates are all either breeders, exhibitors or judges, with substantial knowledge of the breed.
Initially, there was only The Birman Cat Club, and delegates were taken from the one committee. Over the years, more clubs have been formed, bringing us to the present day where four clubs now represent the breed in the UK.
