Today (27th June 2016) we said farewell to our much loved Chairman and Friend, Mrs Anne Gregory.
It was a moving service attended by many members of the Cat Fancy, Family, Friends and our Committee.
There were tears; and laughter during the service as many reflected on Anne’s Life and recalled many stories of her.
Anne was a caring and passionate lady, who gave her all for cats and our club. She will be deeply missed by many and will be remembered always.

Our thoughts are with Brian and the Family.

Alistair Balharrie
Vice Chairman
Southern and South Western Birman Cat Club

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Anne Gregory following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Anne was a founder member of the Club and Chairman since its creation in 1999. Her knowledge has steered the club to the strong position it has today, representing us and the Birman breed at Council and BAC meetings.

Not only a strong head for our club, she was also a very caring person, happy to pass on her considerable knowledge and give help and guidance to members of the cat fancy, old and new.

We have lost an inspirational Chairman, but more than that – we have lost a very great friend. Our hearts go out to Brian and their family.

Details of the funeral arrangements will be announced on the GCCF website.

Rest in peace Anne, we all miss you so much.

Vice Chairman
Southern and South Western Birman Cat Club

It was with great sadness that I write on behalf of the Southern & South Western Birman Cat Club Committee, of the passing of our Chairman; Anne Gregory.

It is difficult to find the words to express just how much she will be missed. I for one feel privileged to have worked with Anne on our Club Committee. Anne was dedicated to our Club and passionate about the Birman breed; her knowledge, support, sound advice and guidance we will sorely miss. Anne gave up so much of her time freely for the betterment of the Cat Fancy.

We have all lost a very special lady

Rest In Peace Anne, we will all miss you so very much.

Our thoughts and prayers go to Brian and their family.

Jackie Pell
Hon Secretary – S&SWBCC

It is with great sadness that I write of the death of Anne Gregory.
Anne was Chairman of the Southern & South Western Birman Cat Club from its beginning in 1999, and during my years as Secretary she was my constant rock. She was incredibly knowledgable, supportive and so easy to work with, but she was so very much more.
I stewarded for Anne on many occasions and with her calm and patient personality she taught me a great deal and gave me the confidence to handle different breeds of cats.
Anne was kind and caring and always found time to talk – she really understood people and she gave me a lot of very sound advice over the years, not just from her vast knowledge of the Cat Fancy, but also from her varied life experiences.
I am proud to have had a small place in Anne’s life – she was a firm and loyal friend and I will miss her so much.
My thoughts and prayers are with Brian.

Anne, you have now floated the rivers to rainbow bridge – all your past cats have been patiently waiting for you, now it’s your turn to be peaceful, and with open arms meet those you have left.

________________________________________________________________________The loss of Anne is a very sad day to our Club.

She was our Chairman from inception and she led and guided us with her knowledge, enthusiasm and honesty.
My deepest sympathy to Brian.

It is with much sadness and a heavy heart that I try and write a fitting tribute to Anne. She was one of life’s truly inspirational people and highly regarded throughout the GCCF and the cat fancy as a whole, both here and abroad.  Finding the right words to convey just what she meant to me as a colleague and as the Chairman of our Club is so very difficult, so I will just say thank you Anne for your passion and dedication to the hobby you loved, for your insight and wisdom and your love of helping others.

We have lost a very remarkable lady and one whose shoes cannot be filled, she will be sadly missed but warmly remembered by so many people.

My thoughts and heart felt sympathies go to Brian and their family.

The date for the 2017 show has been changed to Saturday the 4th March 2017 and will now be at a new Venue – Ellendune Community Centre, Barret Way, Wroughton, nr Swindon. SN4 9LW
We have seen a growing problem with the car parking arrangements at Cricklade Town Hall which has now become unacceptable.  The Committee took the decision to find a new Venue for the show.  Car parking should be much better at this new venue.
